Josh Boscarino, Intern

Josh’s approach to therapy is to offer an affirming space, free of the outside world’s distractions, to explore deeply, reflect and refuel.

Currently a graduate student at Adams State University, Josh is earning his degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling.

Like so many, Josh’s path to North Brooklyn MFT has been unique. He has an undergraduate degree from the University of Hartford in Acting, spent time as an actor in a traveling show, and has worked for the last few years in accounting at start-ups in New York City. He credits these experiences with offering him insights into many ways of being.

A member of the LGBTQIA+ community, Josh’s therapeutic approach is deeply rooted in curiosity, where probing questions offer clients an opportunity to explore what they do and why. Josh is passionate about providing client’s a person-centered approach and exploring existential themes. Josh believes in the power of the here and now and in examining how people can become the best versions of themselves.
