Shawn Li, Intern

Shawn is a firm believer in the transformative power of therapy. By creating a safe space for clients to be themselves, she uses a systemic and family-oriented lens to uncover the patterns and narratives that impact how we relate to ourselves and significant others. Through collaboration with her clients, goals for therapy are set to maintain a “North Star” for the courageous work they are about to undertake in the counseling room.
Prior to entering the counseling field, Shawn honed her corporate experience in the entertainment industry through accounting and operational roles. During this time, she developed a heart for working with individuals, families, and couples through relational psychology. She began her counseling career at an intensive outpatient center working with adolescents, young adults, and their families, who struggled with addiction and co-occurring mental illnesses.
As a psychotherapist-in-training, Shawn is working under the close supervision of Kelsey Bickford, LMFT.
