Alyssa Calderon MFT

Alyssa Calderon, LMFT

As a systemically trained LMFT, Alyssa strives to prioritize curiosity, compassion, and connection. Her purpose as a relational therapist is to provide a nonjudgmental and patient atmosphere where exploration and growth can occur. Alyssa incorporates mindfulness, narrative therapy, and emotionally focused therapy elements in her work. She believes in a collaborative approach, which bridges her expertise in change with the client’s expertise in their lived experience. Alyssa works primarily with couples and individuals dealing with anxiety, depression, grief, relational or professional stress, and life transitions. Couples work has included navigating cohabitation, separation, sexuality, communication, parenting, infidelity, premarital/marital concerns, and other facets of relational growth.   Alyssa believes ethical and effective therapy requires the therapist to be mindful of their position, biases, and role in the therapeutic relationship. She considers it a privilege to learn from and work with clients to create a difference in their lives.   As a Black and Latina woman, she supports clients of varying cultures, races, sexualities, and identities. Alyssa is a bilingual clinician and is available for sessions in Spanish.

Alyssa is a certified Prepare-Enrich counselor with premarital counseling experience.
