Greta Mori, Intern

Greta Mori is a graduate student, currently studying Marriage and Family Therapy at Manhattan University. She is passionate about working with individuals, couples, and families to create a collaborative and nonjudgmental space, where patients feel safe to explore themselves and their experiences. Greta believes a meaningful relationship between therapist and client is integral to effective therapy, and is excited to truly get to know the people she works with.

Greta holds the belief that an individual is made up of many parts, which can be observed, nurtured, and collaborated with, rather than fought. She is particularly drawn to systems theory and Internal Family Systems (IFS), believing that understanding ourselves within the context of our relationships, families, and communities can foster meaningful growth and lasting change.

Her goal as a therapist is to help clients develop the insight and personal practices they need to navigate life’s unavoidable challenges. Greta believes that therapy should not only offer support during difficult moments or crises, but also empower clients with lasting skills they can carry into their everyday lives.

Greta’s background in visual art has shown her the immense impact creative practices can have on people’s mental health. She is interested in thoughtfully integrating creative practices into therapy when they align with a client’s needs and goals, recognizing that healing can take many forms.

Greta received her bachelor’s degree in Psychology from Tulane University. She has personal passions for fine art, somatic healing, and spending time in nature.
