Danisha Bailey, Intern

Danisha is a dedicated therapist intern passionate about fostering therapeutic connections within a safe, nonjudgmental space where clients can freely express their emotions and work towards their goals. Drawing on her completed Level 1 training in Gottman Method Couples Therapy, she strongly emphasizes enhancing relationships. Utilizing a diverse range of modalities, including Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Solution-Focused, Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT), and Narrative approaches, Danisha tailors her sessions to meet the unique needs of each individual or couple. As a Brooklyn native with Caribbean and Hispanic roots, Danisha’s 14+ years of experience in education and her current role as Dean of Students enrich her understanding of family dynamics, relationships, and cultural contexts, all of which contribute to shaping one’s identity. Danisha strives to break stigmas and normalize therapy for people of color, recognizing the healing power it brings. Certified as a Prepare-Enrich facilitator, she is currently pursuing her Master’s degree in Marriage and Family Therapy at Kairos University.
