Danisha believes in creating a therapeutic interpersonal relationship in a safe, supportive, nonjudgmental setting where each client feels seen and free to express their emotions and work toward their goals. Her therapeutic style is influenced by psychodynamic, strength-based, and cognitive-behavioral approaches. Danisha is passionate about understanding your family history, relationships with others and self, and cultural contexts that make up your identity.
Danisha is a Brooklyn native with Caribbean and Hispanic roots. She brings her 12+ years of experience in education and her current role as Dean of Students into her work with students and families. Danisha wants to break the stigma and normalize POC seeking therapy as part of the healing process. She is also a certified Prepare-Enrich facilitator and is obtaining her Masters degree in Marriage and Family Therapy at Nyack College.
