Kait Sansoucie, Intern

Kait is working towards a Master’s degree in the Couple and Family Therapy program at Antioch University (COAMFTE accredited). She is a student intern under the supervision of Kelsey Bickford, LMFT, and a member of the AAMFT. Kait favors a narrative therapy approach, and believes that working with our natural storytelling abilities can be a powerful tool for cultivating a sense of belonging, empowerment, and self-healing, and within interpersonal relationships. She welcomes couples, families, and children, as well as individuals who desire a holistic, relational, creative, and trauma-informed approach to therapy. As a lifelong New Yorker who worked for years in the school system, Kait has a deep understanding of the lives of families in NYC, and this experience has given her perspective on the impact of circumstances in childhood and adolescence on identity and relationships in adulthood. In November of 2022, Kait trained as a crisis counselor with the Crisis Text Line, where she presently offers counseling. In January 2023 she obtained certification from the New York Peace Institute for Basic Mediation Training. She graduated from The New School with a BA in Culture and Media Studies and a minor in Gender Studies, and worked as a content creator and social media manager for Project Continua, a women’s history project.
