Latierra Harris, Associate

Latierra, originally from New Jersey, currently resides in Brooklyn, New York. She is a graduate student in the Marriage and Family Therapy program at National University, which is accredited by COAMFTE. As an associate therapist under supervision at North Brooklyn Marriage and Family Therapy, she is committed to providing compassionate care. Latierra earned her BA in Psychology from Southern New Hampshire University.

Her passion for mental health services was ignited during her time as a Certified Medical Assistant in Orthopedics and Neurosurgery, where she honed her active listening skills and developed an empathetic approach to patient care. Latierra is deeply committed to social justice, reducing stigma, and fostering inclusion and diversity, particularly within the LGBTQIA+ and BIPOC communities.

Latierra’s professional interests include working with clients who have experienced traumatic responses, challenges with body image and eating disorders, relationship challenges, and career and educational transitions among individuals and couples. Her therapeutic approach is eclectic, drawing on techniques from Narrative Therapy, Solution-Focused Therapy, and other modalities to best serve her clients needs.
